Is it even possible to measure personal growth? Yes, it is, the same way we measure success. It all depends on individual perception. What one might see as success, another person may view it as a stepping stone. All that matters is how you see yourself when you reflect on your life. We are no strangers to FEAR. It tends to hang out around us more than we would like.
This year we are able to reflect on our journey, we have evolved over the years. We stopped talking about what we wanted to do and actually DID it, we stopped seeing OBSTACLES and spent time figuring out a way around them. That is not to say we didn’t struggle or don’t struggle along the way, we still do. The difference is that now we have AWARENESS of what has stopped us before (FEAR) and it is a constant battle but we are choosing to ignore the fear; I think that’s the best way to describe our growth. We ignore the fear and choose to believe in what we are doing.
Between Us Ladies: Dinner Soiree
The BUL Dinner Soiree is our second event; it is as special as the first one. We spent a lot of time replaying and reflecting on the last one to be able to recreate it, only better this time. We first gave Between Us Ladies a go four years ago today and when we look back at where we were mentally, emotionally and physically we did the absolute best we could with what we had and we intend to do the same this year with the help of a lot of amazing women cheering us on. It not only takes a village to raise a child but a whole village of women to raise an already grown woman.
Between Us Ladies is a branch of Imperfection Lives Here. Its sole motive is to bring women together in an environment that allows growth, is supportive, embraces uniqueness and fosters learning from one another. We host book clubs, events and get-togethers. The dinner soiree is very timely. It’s been a very long year and a half in the pandemic, which is still going on, HOWEVER, we are able to get together now. We are really excited for the event and our hope is that you all are able to be there to share in these moments with us. We look forward to seeing you.
