4 Reasons To Create A Vision Board

If you have never created a vision board, I think it’s time for you to create one. I am going to share with you four reasons you should make a vision board in 2022. A vision board is a visual representation of what you want your life to look like. When you complete one, you should place it in a space where you can see it daily, as it becomes a constant reminder of your goals and aspirations. It also gives you a continual reminder of your purpose, your WHY, in life. Why you get up in the morning and why you’re working; this is the first step in living your life with intention

A vision board is created by putting together a collage of images that kick start your imagination and help you visualize your goals. These images and words can help to keep you inspired and motivated as you work towards something you want to be, have or otherwise manifest. You can start with thinking about your goals in the following areas; career, self care, finances, personal growth and mental and physical health. Write down your goals in each of these areas then put together images you like that best represent these goals.

Make 2022 the year of following through with your goals and create a vision board to give you a clear picture of where you want to get to by the end of the year or even five years from now. Your vision board should focus on how you want to feel and not just the things you want. Invoking those feelings every time you look at your vision board will inspire you and give you the reminder you need to push through when you are going through a tough time.

These are the reasons you should create a Vision Board along with the benefits:

  1. Creating the Vision Board makes you think about what you really want in life – Taking the time to sit and really think about your purpose and what you want to achieve with the time you have helps you to evaluate how you spend your time on a daily basis. I’m sure you think about the things you want in life, but do you take the time to really focus on them and think about what they mean in the grander scheme of life? A vision board helps you go beyond casual thinking and allows you to focus on your long term goals and aspirations.
  2. Vision boards provide you a daily reminder of your goals and dreams – Visualization is one of the most popular and effective mind workouts you can do. Taking the time to look at your vision board and visualizing where you want to go in life and how you will feel when you get there will inspire you and help you to stay on track. Even when you face setbacks, your vision board will be there to motivate you all over again.
  3. Vision boards will get you fired up for life – Seeing your vision board consistently will help you passionately connect with your goals. It is easy to get caught up in the mundane everyday tasks that everything we do feels like a chore. Looking at your vision board can help you notice opportunities, push you to put in the extra work to accomplish your goals or simply give you the spark you need to go through your day with an attitude of gratitude over what you have already seen manifest in your life.
  4. Vision Boards are fun – Creating your vision board is a fun way to unload your deepest desires and create a collage of images that inspire you and bring you joy. It doesn’t have to be organized or pretty, it is a creative outlet that just has to inspire you. You can share it with friends or keep it to yourself. It is also fun to look back on  your vision board, once you have put in the work and recognize all you have accomplished and the goals that have manifested into your life. Taking that time to reflect on how far you have come is good for the soul.

Vision boards work because they allow you to take the dreams and thoughts in your head and turn them into something tangible you can see. You have to put in the work to achieve your goals and believe in yourself to become the person you want to become. You have to make time to engage with your vision board and use it to guide actions and decisions that progress you toward making your goals a reality. Simply making a vision board and storing it where you can’t see it won’t inspire you or get you where you want to go in life. As in other things in life, you get out what you put in. The vision board you create will help you manifest the life you imagine for yourself.
